ATS Turbine Service Sdn Bhd (ATS APAC) is a Malaysia based subsidiary focused on bringing a higher level of service and support to PT6A engine operators in the Asia Pacific region. Our PT6A MRO capabilities range from line maintenance to full-service repairs, part sales and engine rentals. Regionally operated, with a focus on quality service and minimal turn times. We are an independent repair station by design. Regionally owned, operated and focused.

Key Personnel

Leo Olivares (General Manager)

Leonel completed his aircraft maintenance training in the United States in 2001.  Since that time, his focus has been on Lycoming, Continental and PT6A engine MRO in addition to airframe support for the Twin Otter, King Air and Cessna Caravan.  He has served as the Director of Maintenance for several Asia Pacific based operations during that time.   Leonel is a licensed powerplant engineer with extensive experience related to the PT6A engines series.  He joined ATS in 2018 as the APAC Regional Manager, and currently serves as the Director of ATS Turbine Service Sdn Bhd.  Leo’s true passion is soccer (properly pronounced as “football”) and enjoys traveling with his family.

Dean Granshaw (Director of Operations)

Dean, from the United Kingdom started in engineering 1986. Dean progressed into the aviation industry in 1998. Gaining MRO experience being a mechanic to Team Leader and finally to Operations Manager Form 4 Holder. Working with various PWC engine types he was chosen to be part of a team to set up a new DOF (designated overhaul facility) in Abu Dhabi (UAE) in 2014. Gaining GCAA, FAA, PACA, DGCA and EASA 145 approved organization. Since then, he has worked for some of the biggest aviation OEM’s continuing his career progression. Dean has been fully OEM overhauled trained on the PW901A, PT6T (Twin Pac), PT6C-67C, PW200 series engines, Leap-1B and is typed trained on the AW139 rotorcraft. After spending 10 years in the UAE, Dean joined ATS in December 2023 and brings a wealth of hands-on practical experience.

Stephen Wesley (Director of Sales )

Stephen Wesley (Wes) is a PT6A industry veteran. He completed his engineering apprenticeship with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and served for 22 years as an aircraft engineer and engine trade instructor. Following his military service, He held senior aviation management roles with Australian Coastal Surveillance and NSW Aeromed. Wes has spent the last 23 years serving in various engine MRO roles including Sales, Customer Service and PT6A Workshop Manager. Prior to joining ATS, he was the Commercial Manager for Pacific Turbine Brisbane (PTB). Wes is a proud Australian family man with two mature sons, and a pair of identical twin granddaughters. He enjoys sports, travel and golf above all else.

Marie Anne Lee (Accountable Manager)

Marie Anne serves as ATS APAC’s Accountable Manager and Financial Controller.  She is a graduate of Sunway University College and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Prior to joining ATS, she held management positions as a fiduciary in finance, accounting, treasury and audit for several Malaysian based aerospace and manufacturing companies.  Marie Anne functions as the regulatory liaison for the company focused on process improvement, internal controls and the coordination of organizational resources.  She is the glue that holds everything together at ATS APAC.

Muhammad Izzuddin Bin Shahrom (Quality & Safety Manager)

Izzuddin attended the Engineering College at IIUM, Petaling Jaya and obtained a Tahfiz Al-Quran Certificate from Darul Quran Jakim, KKB.  He is also a CAAM licensed B1 aircraft maintenance engineer with experience ranging from line maintenance to engine and component replacement.  Izzuddin administers the company’s safety management system and stewards the quality assurance and technical training programs.  He holds numerous CAAM Part 147 training certificates that support his goal of maintaining a healthy and competent work environment and keeping customer planes safely in the air.
